The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah on Tuesday claimed that it had made its deepest attack into Israel since October, striking with aerial drones north of the city of Acre and setting off sirens across the country’s northern coastline. In the latest strike, it said it had launched a drone attack on an Israeli military barracks roughly 10 miles from the Lebanese border. The Israeli military said that fighter jets had targeted “military structures” in the area where Hezbollah were operating, according to a statement. The drone attack in Israel came after targeted killings by Israel of two Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon, both of whom the Israeli military claimed were involved in Hezbollah’s aerial operations. Last week, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a drone and missile attack into northern Israel that left one soldier dead and 16 soldiers and two civilians injured, in one of the group’s most damaging attacks in Israel in recent months.

An activist said Israel's Palestinian citizens have been assaulted and harassed since the Hamas attack. "There is always a level of discrimination and racism against Palestinian citizens of Israel," Farah said. About 15 Arab citizens in Israel were also killed in the attacks, according to the Mossawa Center. Many of Israel's Palestinian citizens are now grappling with "double realities" as Israel continues its relentless counterattack on Gaza, the Palestinian territory controlled by Hamas, Farah said.

The caller was an Israeli officer who ordered them to evacuate the house five minutes before they bombed it. The cousin, Hussam Nabhan, 45, tried to stall with the officer, telling him the house included disabled people, but it was all in vain, he said. "The house was the girls' shelter, they had got a disabled toilet, wheelchairs, a bed to sleep. "How am I going to carry her after the wheeler was gone, also the (healthy) mattresses were gone," she added. Its borders are sealed off by neighbouring Israel and Egypt, citing security concerns with Hamas, which runs the territory.
